You can create as many pages and have as many images as you would like. If you choose to host the web site on another host provider**, your space and bandwidth will have to be dictated by the agreement with your hosting provider. This plan also includes a website manager and page editor that will allow you "hands on" access to maintain your website without any knowledge of HTML. Requirements

All E-commerce Web sites must be hosted on our server. Non-Ecommerce can be hosted elsewhere, but additional fees If you are hosting your web site on another server, (additional $300 one-time design fee), we will need the FTP information and also your hosting management information. You must have a digital camera or scanner and also have a program that allows you to resize images in order for them to be uploaded to your website.

We have compiled some of the most often asked questions of our visitors. We think these might help you with your decision of using Black Crow Designs to design your website.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule. Usually anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks.
What do I need to provide to have a web site created?
After placing your order, Black Crow Designs will send you a Questionnaire Form. This form consists of  general questions that will assist in the development of your web site.
Example questions:
  • Your Company Name
  • Address/Phone to use on Internet
  • Email accounts
  • Method of shipping (if requesting an online store)
  • Credit cards you plan to accept
  • ... and more
    This form will need to be completed by you and emailed to us.
What are the steps of building a website?
  1. Choose your domain name. Your domain name is the name of your website and often times the name that people type into their browsers to get to your home page. We recommend choosing a domain name that reflects your company name or what you do.
  2. Determine your content. What is the goal of your website, and what is the goal of each section/page?
  3. Determine your look and feel. Once you have your content ready, including any text and images you want inserted, your designer can begin work on the template design for your website.
  4. Decide if you wish to enter all the information/products into your store or if you want to pay extra fees for us to do that for you.
  5. Approve your general look of your website.
  6. Finalize the complete website and setup approval.
  7. Open your website for business
Can I be responsible for changing and updating my own web site after completion?
Yes. Our web sites are designed to be easily updated using a variety of programs and online updating  access. Black Crow Designs does not provide teaching" services of software or programs which you may acquire to update your web site with.
Who "owns" the web site after it is created?
The web site is yours - you own it 100%. Black Crow Designs reserves the right to display any development (web design, banner, logo or other) in our online portfolio if desired. If you leave our services and use your website/graphics any where else on the web, you must leave credit to Black Crow Designs on your website.
Will everyone see my web site the same?
Your website visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser, screen resolution setting and their individual computer settings and toolbars. We design sites with that in mind and   preview them in several browser types and resolution settings before publishing. Obviously as technology alters then eventually all websites may need reevaluation.
Do you redesign existing websites?
Yes we do. We can redesign to give you a complete new image and functionality.
I want you to re-design my existing site, but don't have time to enter the information/products, can you do that?
Yes we do. We can take the existing information off your current site and put it into the new site, but there are additional fee's for that service. If you are interested in this, please request a quote for those services prior to signing up for your site design. If you currently have a site, please do your best to advise which content we should use for your new site.
How can I view my web site design as it is in progress?
We place your designs in a directory on the web server so you can view the final product before it goes live and as the progress is advancing. We will give you the exact address as we begin getting the site started.
What if I don't like the design?
If you do not like the design which we have designed for you, we will discuss further as to what goal   you are trying to achieve. As far as the graphics for the website design, our guidelines are as   follows:

We would not like to think that you are not happy with the final website design. Our aim is to design for you a website specific to your requirements which you are completely happy with.

Can you guarantee my site will appear on the first page in a search engine?
Nobody can honestly claim to do so because of the ever-changing algorithms and formulas search engines utilize. There are hundreds of different search engines and indexes all of which have their own method of determining what ranking they will give you based on a keyword search.

Certain optimization techniques work in one search engine but are given less weight or even penalized by another. The overall strategy we employ is to try and find a happy medium and make sure your keywords are present where they need to be. Other factors such site popularity (determined by how many other popular sites are linking to you), keyword placement in your page titles, page text, alternate text for images and meta tags (special tags read by some search engines which contain keywords specific to your industry and the site content) will determine your site's relevance vs. the keywords the potential visitor has typed in. We do our best to suggest things that will work well with your website, and we have been fortunate to have a good number of our websites rank very high in search engines with keywords that are important to their business.
When do you charge my credit card for the fees involved in the site design and hosting plan?
Due to signup contracts being broken, we will be processing a $50 deposit when your contract is received. When we are finished with your website, you are sent an invoice for the balance of the fees. If you should not continue with your site design, and your domain name has been purchased through us, your new domain name will be put into your email account. It will be your responsiblity to renew that domain name and assign new server information.
If I am on quarterly hosting, when are my payments due?
Payments for quarterly hosting is due on:
• January 15th
• April 15th
• July 15th
• October 15th
Payments are dues within 7 your invoice.
If payment is not received with in 10 calendar days, you will be billed a $15 late fee.
If after 20 days of non-payment your site will be removed from our server.
($50 re-instatement fee will be charged to re-activate the account.)
